This double H brace has a big job.
It’s the anchor that holds this fence in place.
It goes as far as the eye can see.
Check out other Friday Fences.

Wow, what a stunning fence line.
I see it everyday and usually forget how unbelievable it really is!
Wow! Makes the little fences I post pictures of look like toys!
Never! Just a different kind of fence, for sure!
That’s a lot of post holes to dig!
Can you imagine? And, how do they keep it so perfectly straight?
You put the coolest perspective on things! Way to go!
Thanks Kathy! Who knew our little corner of the world had so much going on, huh?
cool fence…have a great weekend…
Thanks so much!
It sure does! WoW! Beautiful
Thanks Tricia! I just love your old truck photos today.
Wow, this land seems even bigger, wider than the Minnesota prairie. Your perspective really emphasizes the infinity aspect. Did you shoot this standing in a pick-up truck bed or astride a horse or?
Hi Audrey! I was actually standing atop a lava rock formation–a smallish “hill of rocks” outside my house. I would say it is about two stories high. Just a short climb.
Definitely a well built H brace…really nice perspective of the land.
Thanks so much! Of course, I can only take credit for the perspective, not the well-built H brace!
That’s some pretty hard ground cause it looks like the next brace isn’t for MILES!
Otherwise…ugh – wow.
~d.
p.s. I bet that wasn’t installed w/ a hand post hole digger either…least I hope it was an auger type hooked to a big tractor!
Pretty tough ground, for sure! I can’t say how the brace was installed, though. It’s been there forever!
That is a tough job. Great shot!
Good fence builders can move pretty fast and efficiently, though!
I’ve got to ask – how long is the fence line?
You want to know something funny? It’s really not that far, only about a mile. But, this pasture is so wide open and rises a bit from this vantage point so it looks a lot further.
GREAT pics, love the post.
I’m glad you like!
Wonderful photos.
Regards and best wishes
Thanks!
